Requirements
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university, or relevant technical experience and technical certifications.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps, DevOps, information technology, or security automation supporting multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement a DevSecOps platform using private and commercial cloud best practices.
  • Strong experience with the Linux operating system.
  • Experience with private and hybrid cloud design, operation, monitoring, and deployment.
  • Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi, generally maintained at the most current version.
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and general containerization development, security, deployment, and management practices.
  • Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, and similar tools to automate deployment and destruction of virtual machines, networks, and other virtualized assets in VMware environments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Ability to support documentation of DevSecOps and related technologies, including the creation of system and process diagrams.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to convey system-wide performance information routinely via tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to train others to perform similar DevSecOps and automation tasks and maintain and promote content in a corporate knowledge library.
  • Ability to interact with developers to understand software changes affecting development and testing activities, examine relevant change implementation, and report changes to developers and testers.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level with Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility is required.
Responsibilities
  • Execute the development, operation, and maintenance of DevSecOps processes, tools, and an automation pipeline supporting traditional application software development, third-party application integration, and Infrastructure as Code scripts and software.
  • Provide overarching technical guidance and support for development teams to produce a cohesive, functional, maintainable system deployable across connected and disconnected environments.
  • Ensure the DevSecOps environment supports designing, implementing, deploying, and executing automated tests, and investigate technologies to improve productivity, quality, usability, and maintenance.
  • Collect, process, and present information and metrics showing automation improvements or degradations over time.
  • Drive platform improvements to increase and sustain availability of mission-critical development tools.
  • Author and maintain automation deployment and monitoring scripts; develop and maintain security controls and systems; manage virtualized and containerized assets; create virtual and physical network configurations, servers, communications, and test and developer engineering support.
  • Execute the design, integration, testing, and initial deployment of applications in an enterprise virtualized and containerized environment using modern tools and patterns.
  • Contribute as an engineer to an automated DevSecOps environment and support automation of system configuration and deployment.
  • Author and maintain scripts in a variety of languages.
  • Author and maintain documentation pertaining to DevSecOps processes and automation.
  • Administer and use configuration-management tools and processes to ensure efficient and accurate baseline tracking.
  • Analyze real-world problems and implement solutions that leverage industry best practices and improve team productivity.
