- Assist with compiling tender packages for all subcontract trades.

- Assist with issuing subcontract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice, within budget and programme requirements.
- Attend subcontract pre-order meetings.
- Liaise with the Build Department regarding subcontractor performance and compliance with order conditions.
- Assist with producing subcontract orders in line with programmed build requirements, Group Policy, and Group Rebate schemes, and adjudicate them before issuing documentation.
- Liaise with the Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor and provide forecast and site budget information for business reporting requirements.
- Assist with controlling and reporting post-contract cost movements and preparing monthly reports for the Commercial Manager.
- Ensure invoices and payment applications are processed in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
- Advise management immediately of impending claims or legal action arising from disputed claims or payments from subcontractors or service providers.
- Assist in determining subcontract orders where necessary in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Employment, and liaise with the Build Department.
- Use the Business Management System and associated processes to manage site project administration, including orders, variations, and valuations.
- Assist with regular reviews of on-site materials and material valuations.
- Settle variation invoices and payment applications in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
- Assist with certifying retention releases on project completion.
- Assist with preparing and agreeing subcontract final accounts.
- Maintain systems for efficiently filing and retrieving information in accordance with the Business Management System.
- Assist with maintaining final account schedules.
- Continue self-development and follow the training plan.

Muse appoints senior development manager. Nationwide placemaker Muse has strengthened its Yorkshire and North East team with the appointment of Grace Alderson as senior development manager. Grace joins from Vistry Group, where she spent eight years progressing from graduate trainee to head of development and led major mixed-use regeneration projects including Pudding Mill Lane in Stratford. In her new role, she will support key placemaking schemes in Gateshead and Bradford, including the Baltic Quarter regeneration and the City Village project. Vistry and Citizen partner to build 60 affordable family homes in Oldbury. Vistry, the UK's leading provider of mixed-tenure homes, has joined forces with housing association Citizen, to deliver 60 much-needed affordable family homes in Oldbury, marking a significant step forward in addressing local housing needs. The development, located on Titford Road, will transform a previously vacant site into a vibrant new community, offering a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes. The project is designed to provide high-quality, affordable housing for families in the area, supporting Sandwell Council's ambitions for sustainable growth and regeneration. Michael Moore, Managing Director of Vistry North West Midlands, said: "We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Citizen on this development which will not only meet the housing needs of the community but will protect wildlife and ecology whilst bringing investment for services into the area. "We're excited to be a part of Oldbury's growth and to be entrusted with the build of these much-needed affordable homes which will help meet the significant housing shortage in the area and create a thriving and sustainable community." The scheme, which received planning permission in April 2025, has been developed in line with Natural England guidance, ensuring ecological protection and enhancement. Key features include the retention and improvement of the site's watercourse, the creation of green buffer zones with native planting, and the introduction of new public green spaces, supporting Sandwell Council's goals for sustainable placemaking. The partnership between Vistry and Citizen is expected to bring wider economic benefits to the region, including job creation and investment in local services.
Vistry Group and Abri purchase Kingsgrove land in wantage to build 129 mixed-tenure homes. Vistry Group confirmed the purchase of a new land lot at Kingsgrove in Wantage, Oxfordshire, which would result in the construction of 129 new homes, as part of a deliberate effort to improve the provision of affordable housing in the area. The project is a significant step forward for Vistry's partner-led delivery strategy and demonstrates the company's dedication to collaborating closely with registered providers to meet housing needs throughout the United Kingdom. Under the agreed structure, Vistry has partnered with housing provider Abri to forward sell the homes, with the entire scheme being delivered as 100% affordable housing. Abri will fund the development through a combination of its own investment and grant support secured via its Strategic Partnership with Homes England, the government's housing and regeneration agency. This approach enables long-term affordability while ensuring delivery certainty and quality. The Kingsgrove scheme builds on an established and successful relationship between Vistry and Abri. The two organisations have already worked together to deliver several hundred homes across the South of England, creating a track record of collaboration focused on high-quality, sustainable, and community-led residential development. This latest project further strengthens that partnership and aligns with both organisations' strategic priorities. Planning progress is already well advanced. The site received Reserved Matters consent in December 2025, clearing the way for construction to begin. Works are expected to start in spring, allowing homes to be delivered at pace to meet ongoing demand for affordable housing in Wantage and the wider Oxfordshire area. A key feature of the development is the use of modern methods of construction (MMC). All 129 homes will be built using timber frame systems manufactured by Vistry Works, the Group's in-house manufacturing arm. By using offsite manufacturing techniques, Vistry aims to accelerate build times, improve quality consistency, and reduce environmental impact. Timber-frame construction also supports lower embodied carbon compared with traditional building methods, aligning with wider sustainability goals across the housing sector. Abri and Vistry to deliver 129 affordable homes in Wantage. Vistry, the UK's leading provider of mixed-tenure homes, has secured a new land parcel at Kingsgrove in Wantage that will deliver 129 homes. In line with the Group's partner delivery model, Vistry has partnered with large housing provider Abri, to forward sell the homes which will then be delivered in 100% affordable tenures. To achieve this, Abri will combine its own investment with grant funding from its Strategic Partnership with Homes England, the government's housing and regeneration agency. The scheme marks another occasion where Abri and Vistry are working in partnership, having already successfully delivered many hundreds of homes across the South of England. The site benefits from Reserved Matters consent obtained in December 2025. Construction work is expected to begin this spring.
