Responsibilities
  • Respond proactively to sales opportunities and manage leads effectively.
  • Handle incoming event leads professionally through phone, email, website, and other channels.
  • Monitor regional competitors and recommend changes to current selling strategies.
  • Prepare detailed conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu, and accommodation costs while maximising revenue.
  • Coordinate and host familiarisation and site-inspection activities, including follow-up.
  • Drive sales to achieve conversion targets and monitor performance monthly.
  • Assist with sales forecasts and recommend strategies to achieve targets.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate event handovers to Conference & Event Coordinators and communicate handover details effectively to clients.
  • Support successful customer-event delivery to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business through clear event-handover communication.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring sales strategies for the conference segment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with conference, incentive, and professional conference organiser companies to secure new business for the hotel.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the hotel's sales vision, products, services, and rate structure to fulfil business objectives.
  • Maintain the existing customer base by building and developing relationships to retain business.
  • Increase penetration of existing accounts to build awareness of hotel and group products and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement follow-up plans for prospective business.
  • Represent the hotel at relevant trade events as its ambassador.
  • Adhere to the hotel's rate structure, with variations approved by the Conference & Events Sales Manager.
