MEXC integrates World-Check to fortify Institutional Grade compliance Architecture.

MEXC integrates World-Check to fortify Institutional Grade compliance Architecture. * home * vehement finance news network * MEXC integrates World-Check to fortify Institutional Grade compliance Architecture. Mutsamudu, Comoros, July 29th, 2026, Chainwire "In a rapidly maturing digital asset market, relying on fragmented risk data is a critical vulnerability. Building a resilient ecosystem demands institutional-grade intelligence." MEXC, the world's fastest-growing digital asset exchange and a pioneer of true zero-fee trading, has today announced a collaboration with LSEG Risk Intelligence. This partnership enables the integration of World-Check, equipping the platform with the same risk intelligence database used by financial institutions globally, setting a new benchmark for proactive security in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Deploying an Institutional Grade Risk Architecture As institutional and retail adoption of digital assets accelerates, uncompromising security measures have become a critical operational imperative. By adopting LSEG World-Check, MEXC is fusing the rigorous compliance frameworks of traditional finance with the agility of the digital economy. This strategic upgrade sets a new benchmark for the industry, ensuring the platform's overarching security infrastructure meets regulatory standards. Precision Screening and Preemptive Ecosystem Defence World-Check is globally recognised as the authoritative and trusted source for risk intelligence. To execute its high-level security strategy, MEXC is embedding this premier data directly into its internal workflows. This integration facilitates real-time screening and cross-referencing against global regulatory and sanctions watchlists. Crucially, the system identifies Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and continuously tracks adverse media to swiftly intercept illicit actors. This dual capability fundamentally reinforces the exchange's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) protocols. Securing the Future of Digital Asset Trading Shifting away from reactive regulatory measures, MEXC is engineering a preventative approach to platform security. The integration helps the exchange filter out high-risk actors during initial onboarding and continues monitoring existing accounts, keeping the trading environment clean. Vugar Usi, Chief Executive Officer of MEXC, said: "At MEXC, protecting our users and partners is non-negotiable. By integrating LSEG's World-Check risk intelligence platform into our digital asset infrastructure, we are setting a new standard for compliance and transparency in the industry. This partnership reflects our steadfast commitment to building a trading environment that not only meets today's regulatory expectations but anticipates tomorrow's. We are dedicated to creating an ecosystem where legitimate participants can engage with confidence, and our collaboration with LSEG ensures we have the screening capabilities to deliver on that promise." Michael Meadon, Director, Asia Pacific at LSEG Risk Intelligence, said: "As digital assets continue to mature, market participants are rightly expecting the same level of rigour they see across traditional finance. By integrating World-Check into its compliance workflows, MEXC is strengthening its ability to identify high-risk actors, enhance screening at onboarding and through ongoing monitoring, and support a safer trading environment for users globally." About MEXC MEXC is the world's fastest-growing cryptocurrency exchange, trusted by more than 40 million users across 170+ markets. The race to never close: London Stock Exchange joins global push for 24-hour trading.

The race to never close: London Stock Exchange joins global push for 24-hour trading. The London Stock Exchange will launch an overnight trading venue in 2027, joining Nasdaq, CME and Cboe in the global shift towards near 24-hour trading as investor demand for always-on markets continues to grow. The central atrium is pictured at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) offices in London on. (File/AFP) The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is set to enter the race towards near round-the-clock trading, unveiling plans to launch a dedicated overnight trading venue in the first half of 2027 as global exchanges rethink traditional market hours to meet rising investor demand. According to a report by the Financial Times on Tuesday, the new platform will operate independently of the LSE's main market and will initially offer trading in exchange-traded products (ETPs), including funds that track UK and US equity markets. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The move places London alongside some of the world's biggest exchange operators that are extending trading hours in response to the rapid growth of cryptocurrencies and increasing demand from retail investors for markets that are accessible almost anytime. Why exchanges are extending trading hours. For decades, stock exchanges have operated within fixed business hours. But the rise of digital assets, which trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week, has changed investor expectations. Retail investors increasingly want the flexibility to react immediately to breaking news, earnings announcements and geopolitical events, regardless of the time of day. Advances in trading technology and growing participation from investors across different time zones have also accelerated the push for longer trading sessions. The LSE's overnight venue is designed to tap into that shift while strengthening London's position as a global financial hub. Separate venue for overnight trading. The new exchange will operate from 5:00 pm to 7:50 am London time, according to the FT report. It will include a 30-minute pause between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm for end-of-day processing. The LSE's main market will continue to trade during its normal hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm London time. Initially, investors will be able to trade exchange-traded products rather than individual shares, allowing them to gain exposure to broader UK and US markets outside regular trading hours. Global exchanges are moving in the same direction. The London Stock Exchange is not alone. Nasdaq plans to introduce 23-hour weekday trading beginning in December. CME Group launched 24x7 trading for cryptocurrency futures and options in late May, while Cboe Global Markets is preparing to roll out 23-hour, five-day-a-week trading for US equities on its EDGX Equities Exchange later this year. Together, these initiatives signal a broader transformation in global financial markets as exchanges compete to attract investors seeking greater flexibility. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD London's strategic advantage. LSE Chief Executive Julia Hoggett said London's time zone gives it a unique opportunity to connect investors across Asia, Europe and North America. "There was an increasing appetite, particularly from retail investors around the world, to use London given our particular timezone, to gain exposure to not only UK assets but global assets," Hoggett told the Financial Times. The city has long served as a bridge between Asian and US trading sessions. Extending trading into overnight hours could make London an even more attractive destination for global investors looking to respond to market-moving events in real time. Challenges remain. While longer trading hours offer greater flexibility, they also present operational challenges for exchanges, brokers and market participants. Firms will need to ensure sufficient liquidity, maintain robust trading systems and manage additional staffing and regulatory requirements. Analysts have also questioned whether overnight sessions will initially generate enough trading volumes to support efficient price discovery, particularly for less liquid products. Nevertheless, with cryptocurrencies normalising continuous trading and investors demanding greater accessibility, traditional exchanges are increasingly embracing longer operating hours. The planned overnight venue marks another step in the global evolution of financial markets, where the concept of a stock exchange closing at the end of the day is gradually becoming less relevant. with inputs from agencies. LSEG launches Workspace Top 50 to track market trends. April 2, 2026 LSEG, the London Stock Exchange Group, has launched the Workspace Top 50, a new monthly feature revealing the most searched commodities and equities by financial professionals globally. The Workspace Top 50 is published directly within LSEG's Workspace platform and shared via LinkedIn, offering users a monthly snapshot of the most searched commodities and equities worldwide. LSEG CEO faces activist pressure as AI fears hit shares, announces $3.8B buyback

London Stock Exchange Group CEO David Schwimmer warns that the Middle East conflict poses a "real test" for investor resilience, as markets face multiple challenges including AI disruption concerns, private credit risks and record public debt levels. Speaking after activist hedge fund Elliott Management took a significant stake in LSEG, Schwimmer defended his long-term strategy whilst announcing a £3 billion share buyback. The company structured the repurchase to maintain "healthy strategic flexibility" for acquisitions, keeping net debt around two times EBITDA. Schwimmer dismissed concerns that AI chatbots will replace LSEG's data business, noting the company's proprietary datasets and embedded infrastructure remain essential. He highlighted a cultural shift, flipping the ratio of contractors to in-house engineers from 60:40 to 40:60, enabling faster product rollouts whilst improving costs.
