The Meet Group is looking for an Android Architect to design and build user interface components that are focused on consistency, flexibility, and performance. You will work with existing developers to help maintain and improve the codebase while building Applications and SDKs that are used by millions of users across multiple brands, both internal and external.
Successful candidates will have:
- A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, equivalent work experience, or just be really awesome
- Experience creating and publishing successful app(s) to a prominent Android app store (such as Google Play Store or Amazon App Store)
- Thorough understanding of core Android concepts
- Experience optimizing, refactoring, and debugging layouts and view hierarchies
- Experience in creating UIs using custom themes, styles, attributes, and resources
- Understanding of RESTful API interaction and JSONGit or other source control management
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work iteratively with Product, Design, Back-End and QA teams
- Ability to discuss and debate, as well as provide and receive feedback in a team environment
- Working understanding of agile development process
Some bonus points if you have:
- Previous use of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins
- Experience building libraries and SDKs for third-party integration
