The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a German-speaking, Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help us identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities for Talend as part of the EMEA Central team, with a specific focus on the French market.
As a Talend SDR, you will collaborate and partner with our sales teams to ensure that our company’s sales goals are met by being laser-focused on generating a healthy, well-qualified pipeline for the sales team to progress.

Specifics:
- We’re looking for someone that is fluent in German, both orally and in writing.
- We’re happy to consider people in any of the following countries: Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, and Ireland.
- You’ll predominantly focus on the DACH market, as part of the EMEA Central team.
Your Mission:
- Discover potential customers’ challenges and demonstrate how Talend can provide solutions.
- Initiate contact with key decision-makers and influencers at target accounts.
- Evaluate inbound marketing leads to determine their potential value.
- Schedule and arrange qualified meetings with Account Executives to acquire new customers.
- Educate customers, address questions, and determine their suitability for Talend’s offerings.
Who you will be:
- A naturally curious person with a keen interest in SaaS and/or Data.
- A confident communicator with a customer-centric mindset, excellent conversational skills, and active listening abilities.
- A willing and coachable individual who is eager to continuously learn and improve.
- A detail-oriented and well-organized team player.
- A collaborative person who is invested in the team’s success and willing to help.
- Self-motivated with a good sense of initiative.

What you’ll know:
- How to build rapport quickly and engage someone in a conversation.
- Build and tailor conversations based on a variety of data points and market knowledge
- Strong communication via phone/social/email/LinkedIn.
- How to research both companies and individuals.
- How to prioritize your activities based on competing demands and evolving focus.
Day-to-day:
- Work with Account Executives to identify the best times to contact prospects and decide on the most appropriate messaging.
- Identify new stakeholders to approach based on account research.
- Balance time between inbound vs outbound leads and opportunities.
- Start conversations via multiple channels.
- Uncover business needs and articulate Talend’s value to address them
