- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or have an education equivalency for licensing.
- Hold the required Registered Nurse license for the applicable state or a compact-state Registered Nurse license, as specified for Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
- Hold Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- No prior experience is required.
- Work a rotating shift and a scheduled 36 hours per week.
- Perform specialized nursing tasks based on demonstrated competence for the patient population served.
- Assess patients' biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, age-appropriate, nutritional, and pain-management needs, including signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect, to develop, evaluate, and modify plans of care.
- Develop comprehensive patient and family education plans, use appropriate instructional resources and methods, and provide health education and coaching.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including processing physician orders, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivered by team members based on patient needs and professional judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Complete required competencies and requirements.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific healthcare knowledge to nursing practice, delivering care based on age-specific and clinical needs.
- Maintain constant alertness and work safely.
