  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
  • Experience in PC computer architecture and associated elements: processing hardware, operating systems, board support packages, messaging middleware, networking standards/protocols (e.g. 1553, 1394, Ethernet), or data storage.
Responsibilities
  • Support development and integration of Mission Management HW and components to meet platform mission objectives.
  • Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Perform MBSE and capturing requirements, interfaces, behaviors, structures and parametrics.
  • Performing functional and performance analyses.
  • Conducting detailed trade studies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work.
  • Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
  • Perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the lab.
  • Perform aircraft ground and flight test on subsystems to validate and verify subsystem requirement and sell-off.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems.
  • Possess a DODD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications.
  • Experience with embedded systems, Unix or Linux operating systems, single board computers, networking components, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), single board computers and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions.
  • Experience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level.
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools.
  • Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence).
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management.
  • Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work.
  • Experience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection.
  • Ability to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review.
