The Software Engineering Internship Opportunity

We are looking for University students pursuing a Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related degree who are interested in a 12-week Summer 2024 Internship and that are passionate about building large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced agile environment. The ideal candidate will share our passion and pride in the simple elegance and usability of our solution. You are a problem solver who cares about making a meaningful impact and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, high growth, distributed team. 

You will join our Machine Learning team. Our team is responsible for building machine learning models, and developing various infrastructure and platform components to scale up machine learning operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and implement machine learning models, platform components, and data pipelines. 
• Participate in project planning, design, development, and code reviews.  
• Contribute to iterative improvements to our systems.
• Communicate verbally and in writing to business customers and leadership teams with various levels of technical knowledge, information about our systems, and data insights and recommendations. 
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Security and Design teams to solve technical and non-technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Interest in machine learning, security, software development, and production systems at scale. 
• Fluency in a programming language such as Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. 
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. 
• Understanding of concepts like Web Services, REST APIs, and MLOps. 
• Ability to apply knowledge gained in computer science and statistics courses to real world problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication. 

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with database technologies and SQL.
• Knowledge of data analytics and data science. 
• Past summer internship experience, ideally in enterprise software companies

Education and Training: 

• Graduation date between Dec. 2024- May/June 2025
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
