Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional CGI or 3D experience, with a portfolio showing photorealistic product visualization.
  • Expert-level Cinema 4D skills, including modeling, materials and shaders, lighting, camera work, animation, and keyframing.
  • A solid understanding of how real materials such as anodized metal, glass, and polycarbonate behave under studio lighting and how to light them to look premium.
  • Ability to own a render pipeline independently from start to finish, with strong attention to reflections, edge highlights, and subtle imperfections.
  • Compositing skills in After Effects and/or Photoshop.
  • A good eye for light, color, and composition, with the ability to set a visual direction from a loose brief.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain visual decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A working portfolio link showing product-focused CGI work, including materials, lighting, and camera work.
Responsibilities
  • Set the visual direction for product imagery, including lighting style, materials and shaders, camera angles, and the overall look.
  • Produce static CGI renders, including packshots, lifestyle composites, marketing renders, and e-commerce or app-store imagery.
  • Produce motion and animation deliverables such as turntables, reveal animations, social content, and launch videos in Cinema 4D.
  • Build and maintain a reusable asset library of models, materials, HDRIs, and lighting rigs.
  • Work closely with the creative director and product team to turn rough direction into concrete visuals.
  • Own the pipeline end to end, including modeling or importing, texturing, lighting, rendering, compositing, and delivery.
  • Monitor new rendering and artificial-intelligence-assisted tools and identify opportunities to accelerate the workflow.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with a renderer such as Redshift, Octane, Arnold, or V-Ray.
  • Experience creating motion for social formats such as Reels, TikTok, and vertical video.
  • A background in industrial design, product photography, or working from CAD files.
  • Familiarity with real-time engines such as Unreal or Unity and with artificial intelligence image or video tools.
  • Experience with consumer electronics or similar hardware product visualization.
  • A turntable or reveal animation in the portfolio.
