Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong automotive manufacturing experience.
  • At least 10 years of related internal audit and/or consulting experience.
  • Relevant professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certification in Risk Management Assurance, or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Ability to listen to clients’ diverse and changing needs and propose solutions.
  • Flexibility to participate in client meetings across time zones and according to management preferences.
  • A solid understanding of internal control practices and the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework.
  • Active participation in professional association meetings such as the Institute of Internal Auditors, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
  • Project management skills to lead and conduct multiple significant projects and tasks with quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Prioritization, organization, and time-management skills to consistently meet deadlines with quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, with the ability to lead interactions with various organizational levels, including middle and senior management.
  • Excellent understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, COSO and COBIT frameworks, and Securities and Exchange Commission guidance for management’s assessment of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to travel 25% domestically or internationally.
Responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services to clients involving internal audit, internal controls, risk management, and compliance across various industries.
  • Network with new and existing clients and develop or enhance service offerings.
  • Lead and execute projects and audits.
  • Develop and train staff.
  • Participate in or lead the risk assessment process, which may include Sarbanes-Oxley scoping.
  • Scope and deliver risk-based projects and audits, including writing audit reports, communicating findings, and working with business and audit management to develop action plans, remediate findings, and track corrective actions through completion.
  • Participate in or lead meetings with client contacts and stakeholders to review risk-management concepts, gaps, issues, control-design elements, support, and conclusions.
  • Keep firm leadership and clients updated regularly regarding audit progress and outcomes.
  • Complete assigned projects and audits and deliver clear, concise findings and recommendations in flexible formats for clients.
  • Identify key control issues and emerging risks and work with clients to ensure timely and effective remediation through efficiencies, automation, and data analytics.
  • Perform deficiency root-cause analyses and assist management with developing remediation plans.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the firm and with clients.
  • Stay current on new and emerging regulations and trends affecting the profession.
  • Drive excellence and efficiency through readily available tools and resources.
  • Assist marketing and business-development teams with content development and presentations.
  • Support an equitable and inclusive work environment.

The deal brings 300 employees and adds capabilities in risk and compliance, finance and accounting, and tax consulting. Milwaukee-based Jefferson Wells, with over 30 years of operating history, generated $76 million in US revenues in 2025. The company serves public and highly regulated companies across financial services, technology and energy sectors, complementing Sikich's existing presence in healthcare, life sciences and manufacturing. Sikich chairman Christopher Geier said the acquisition enhances existing capabilities whilst maintaining alignment in culture and client service approach. The transaction closed on 30 April.

The transaction closed on 30 April 2026, with ManpowerGroup receiving net cash proceeds of approximately $88 million after working capital adjustments. Jefferson Wells US delivers risk and compliance, finance and accounting, and tax solutions through project consulting, integrated resourcing and executive search. The business generated $76 million in revenues in 2025. ManpowerGroup plans to use the proceeds to strengthen its balance sheet whilst focusing on its core Manpower, Experis and Talent Solutions brands. The sale will result in a gain to be recognised in the second quarter. Sikich said the acquisition enhances its capabilities in risk, compliance, finance, accounting and tax services.
