What believers are saying

  • Seasonal events and overlays can boost repeat visitation without major capital spending.
  • Rescue and rehabilitation storytelling can deepen fundraising and premium add-on demand.
  • Abu Dhabi and multi-state parks enable cross-promotion and destination bundling.

What critics are saying

  • Epic Universe in Orlando intensifies local competition and pressures SeaWorld pricing.
  • Florida hurricanes and regional shocks hit a concentrated park footprint hard.
  • Animal-welfare activism and safety incidents can quickly damage attendance and reputation.

What makes United Parks & Resorts unique

  • Seven brands across 13 parks create a broader portfolio than SeaWorld alone.
  • Leadership in animal welfare and veterinary care supports education-first guest experiences.
  • The 2024 rebrand signaled a portfolio beyond the SeaWorld name.
