Physician Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

UW Health in northern Illinois is currently seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing hospitalist-based behavioral health team in Rockford, IL. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a well-supported inpatient program while having access to academic opportunities through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.

Aspects of Your Role Include:
•    Inpatient-focused role working with adult and adolescent psychiatric patients
•    42-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, including 26 adult beds and 16 child and adolescent beds
•    Multidisciplinary team including LCSWs, LMFT, pharmacist, occupational and recreational therapists
•    ED with dedicated psychiatry rooms and 24-hour crisis intervention team
•    Academic appointment and teaching opportunities with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
•    Strong collaboration with primary care and specialty providers throughout the SwedishAmerican Medical Group

Qualifications:
•    MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
•    Active Illinois medical license and DEA license or ability to obtain
