Requirements
  • Experience using artificial intelligence technology tools in daily work for technical evaluation, report generation, plan development, and executive reporting, including simplifying processes, reducing manual effort, and leveraging automation tools.
  • Ability to break down multi-layered technical assignments, explain their impact, and prioritize tasks based on data.
  • Ability to work across a highly matrixed organization and engage technical teams, senior leadership, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with and understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and the processes used to address them.
  • Understanding of data models and reporting, including the ability to build views using various tools to support business goals.
  • Capability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Knowledge of operational risk, controls, compliance, resilience, cyber recovery, and governance processes.
  • Ability to map and understand technical systems, their interconnections, and end-to-end flows, including architecture, identity flows, network trust relationships, authentication mechanisms, and business processes.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the strategic direction for IT Services, including implementing up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Manage the IT Services department, including overseeing colleagues and their performance, implementing departmental goals and objectives, and overseeing department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with IT Services stakeholders and maintain the quality of external third-party services.
  • Develop and implement IT Services policies and procedures, control targets, and standards, and manage adherence to group service-level agreements and controls for incident, problem, and change activities.
  • Manage IT Services risk by identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and maintaining alignment between change and compliance functions.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the IT Services department, including revenue, profitability, cost control, and commercial agreements.
  • Manage IT Services projects, including research, product launches, and delivery of integrated solutions to clients.
  • Monitor and maintain the bank’s critical technology infrastructure and resolve complex technical issues while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, make recommendations for change, plan resources and budgets, maintain policies and processes, deliver continuous improvements, and escalate policy or procedure breaches.
  • Advise functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls related to the team’s work.
  • Collaborate with other areas and business-aligned support functions to maintain alignment with business activity and strategy.
  • Create solutions through sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Incorporate extensive research into problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish business objectives.

Supermarket Income REIT secures $565M debt refinancing to cut costs and extend maturity

Supermarket Income REIT has secured a £445 million debt refinancing to lower borrowing costs and extend average debt maturity. The new facilities comprise a £375 million syndicate and £70 million bilateral arrangement, replacing all existing unsecured loan facilities maturing over the next two years. The refinancing includes four facilities ranging from three to five years, all with two one-year extension options. The average margin across facilities is 1.18% above the Sterling Overnight Index Average, delivering annual interest cost savings of approximately £300,000. The REIT has added Lloyds Bank and ABN AMRO as new banking partners whilst retaining relationships with Barclays, HSBC UK, ING and The Royal Bank of Scotland. The refinancing increases the group's weighted average debt maturity from 2.9 years to 3.8 years.
