Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in transport planning or ship inventory control is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with a proven track record of effectively resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including outside standard office hours.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
  • Strong ability to perform well under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Receive orders for VRPs.
  • Review the production plan and stocks available.
  • Collaborate with VRP to maximise truck utilisation.
  • Allocate trucks while ensuring adherence to lead times and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Coordinate bookings with clients and maintain open communication with carriers regarding delivery times.
  • Track trucks to prevent no-shows and rebook as necessary.
  • Perform daily morning inventory synchronization in SAP.
  • Check and process discrepancies received from other Distribution Centres.
  • Allocate trucks and pallets on a daily basis.
  • Collect and electronically enter paperwork received from suppliers.
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts.
  • Investigate and address variances and discrepancies and resolve any client claims and back orders.
