Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in finance or a related quantitative field with strong grounding in financial analysis and business strategy.
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in finance and business analytics within complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor delivering insights and recommendations that inform decisions across product, technology, and business leaders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to connect financial insights to product strategy, operating models, growth initiatives, and new program tools, features, and capabilities.
  • Proven experience leading financial modeling, scenario planning, and quantitative and qualitative investment analytics while applying sound judgment in ambiguous and evolving situations.
  • Advanced analytical and data mining skills with experience working in large, complex data environments to translate data into clear and actionable financial insights.
  • Experience working with SQL-based data platforms, Power BI, and enterprise financial systems such as Oracle EPM or equivalent tools within large, complex environments.
  • Strong professional presence and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and tailor messaging to different audiences to inform and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and details in dynamic and evolving environments ranging from well-defined to unstructured.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SmartView, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn the Albertsons and industry business context and identify opportunities supporting value creation and financial and strategic impact.
Responsibilities
  • Provide portfolio-level financial leadership across assigned organizations within the technology organization, including visibility into investment performance, spend trends, risks and opportunities, and value realization.
  • Lead complex financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment evaluations for major programs, product features, and platform capabilities to inform prioritization, sequencing, and portfolio-level tradeoff decisions.
  • Own end-to-end financial governance for close activity and product portfolio analytics, including forecasting, forward-looking projections, and assumptions that quantify financial impact, returns, and risks.
  • Serve as the primary owner and strategic steward of portfolio investment governance tools and supporting systems, ensuring data integrity, alignment to enterprise priorities, and accurate measurement and budget-loading validations.
  • Fulfill finance controller responsibilities across external services and contractor labor, including reviewing role requests and statements of work, aligning budgets, and approving funding details within established authority thresholds.
  • Develop business commentary and financial narratives based on underlying demand drivers, cost models, and portfolio economics to support leadership discussions and decision reviews.
  • Partner with product, technology, operations, and finance leaders to deliver executive-ready insights, narratives, recommendations, and decision frameworks tied to business outcomes, strategic priorities, and governance requirements.
  • Support the evolution of operating models, ownership structures, and governance while maintaining financial continuity as global and India-based teams are integrated and scaled.
  • Drive closed-loop accountability through post-investment reviews and reinforce learning discipline and continuous improvement across portfolio and labor investment decisions.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while applying sound judgment in ambiguous and evolving environments and maintaining delivery against portfolio priorities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with Engineering and Product leadership to provide a holistic view of technology investments and actionable recommendations that optimize business performance.
  • Bridge technology execution, product strategy, and financial performance by creating a unified investment narrative for C-level executives and presenting insights, recommendations, and financial outcomes at quarterly steering committee meetings.
  • Drive financial rigor, accountability, and value realization across major technology transformation initiatives, including AI First, Geographic Optimization, and other strategic enterprise programs.
  • Serve as the global finance leader for assigned technology portfolios across the United States, Canada, the Philippines, and India; partner with regional finance leaders to develop plans and forecasts, evaluate performance, and drive consistent interpretation of financial results.

Albertsons closes 20 stores, cuts hundreds of jobs after $24.6B Kroger merger blocked

Albertsons closes 120-year-old Vons grocery store in California, cuts 65 jobs

Albertsons appoints McDonald's CIO Brian Rice to board, issues $2.1B in notes to fund digital push
