Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
  • Active or eligible state medical license.
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Broad clinical expertise in hematologic and oncologic conditions.
  • Strong clinical judgment and treatment decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
  • Active state medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic disorders and oncologic diseases.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care.
  • Provide outpatient clinic care and inpatient consultative services as required.
  • Monitor patient response to therapy and manage treatment-related side effects and complications.
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory studies, imaging, and pathology reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and palliative care.
  • Participate in tumor boards, care coordination meetings, and quality initiatives.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care services.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in call coverage and after-hours responsibilities as applicable.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
