  • 4–10 years of business development, sales, or partnership experience, ideally in university partnerships, nonprofit, or branded content.
  • A proven track record of closing high-value deals, including $1M+ projects, is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to lead and support pitches, manage complex negotiations, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A competitive, results-driven mindset with a passion for growth.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and able to work cross-functionally with various internal departments.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding iU’s partnerships in branded content, nonprofit, and/or university sectors.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, leveraging networking and prospecting to grow our client base.
  • Develop and present customized proposals based on a deep understanding of client needs and iU’s capabilities.
  • Lead pitches and presentations to potential partners and clients, effectively communicating iU’s value proposition.
  • Negotiate and close deals from start to finish, managing the full sales cycle with precision.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with Creative, Production, and Account Management teams to ensure a seamless transition from partnership initiation to launch.
  • Remain a key point of contact for current and future partnership growth, fostering long-term relationships and strategic alliances.
  • Occasionally present at industry conferences to showcase iU’s thought leadership and build business opportunities.
