Responsibilities
  • Lead the North America information security program across corporate, manufacturing, and operational technology environments.
  • Develop and execute regional cybersecurity strategies aligned with global enterprise objectives.
  • Serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor to NA executive leadership.
  • Drive security maturity improvements through risk-based planning and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish security roadmaps, budgets, staffing plans, and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain company cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Oversee regional cybersecurity governance processes and ensure adherence to enterprise security policies and standards.
  • Manage cybersecurity risk assessments for business operations, manufacturing plants, supplier ecosystems, and engineering platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with TISAX, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, automotive customer cybersecurity requirements, privacy and data protection regulations, SOX/JSOX and contractual obligations where applicable, and DENSO Global control standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external security audits and remediation activities.
  • Present cybersecurity risks, metrics, and program status to executive leadership.
  • Oversee regional security operations.
  • Lead cybersecurity incident response activities within the NA region.
  • Vulnerability management in partnership with server, application, network and other IT & OT teams.
  • Coordinate with global Security Operations Center, legal, HR, communications, and external partners during incident investigations.
  • Ensure business continuity and cyber resilience capabilities are maintained and tested.
  • Influence security decisions of OT initiatives across manufacturing facilities and industrial control system environments.
  • Partner with plant operations, engineering, and infrastructure teams to improve OT security posture while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Support secure manufacturing modernization and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Partner with product engineering and R&D organizations to support secure development practices.
  • Assess cybersecurity and safety product design deliverables and compliance with automotive cybersecurity ISO 21434 and functional safety ISO 26262 standards, and other customer requirements.
  • Support protection of intellectual property, engineering data, and prototype environments.
  • Oversee cybersecurity assessments and risk management activities for suppliers, service providers, and external partners.
  • Partner with Purchasing organization to engage suppliers to make security improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional cybersecurity personnel and managers.
  • Create annual plans, initiatives, KPIs, and budgets; track & report progress against these plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong partnerships across technical and business functions.
  • Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with: TISAX; ISO 21434; NIST CSF.
  • Professional certifications such as: CISSP; CISM; CRISC; GIAC certifications.

DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan have validated a battery passport for AESC Group's energy storage products using actual data, confirming its compliance with the EU Battery Regulation ahead of the February 2027 mandate. DENSO provided the technological foundation for generating and managing battery passports, which enables access to battery information via QR codes whilst maintaining data security. TÜV Rheinland Japan, acting as an independent certification body, verified the system's regulatory compliance and data reliability based on EU standards. AESC supplied data from its existing energy storage systems business and has implemented sustainability measures across its supply chain, including battery recycling frameworks. The validation confirmed the solution's practicality for real-world business integration. The companies will now expand their efforts to include AESC's automotive batteries for broader market implementation.

DENSO debuts RSU-5941 Kit at ITS America to advance V2X infrastructure connectivity

The mobility supplier will demonstrate its MobiQ smart mobility solutions at booth 2053, featuring roadside and on-board units that enable real-time communication between vehicles and infrastructure. Rohm CEO eyes dual power: Japanese chip alliance and Denso partnership boost solution offerings

He acknowledged concerns about decision-making speed with multiple parties involved but stressed careful coordination to leverage each company's strengths. The integration covers Rohm and Toshiba's entire semiconductor businesses, whilst the three-way alliance focuses specifically on power semiconductor operations. Denso reports $52.4B revenue for FY2026, raises dividend amid tariff pressures

Denso reported consolidated revenue of ¥7.54 trillion for fiscal year 2026 (ended 31 March), up 5.3% year-on-year. Operating profit rose 6.5% to ¥552.5 billion, whilst profit attributable to owners increased 5.9% to ¥443.8 billion. The Japanese automotive supplier attributed revenue growth to higher vehicle sales and cost recovery from product programme changes. However, profitability was affected by tariff-related costs, higher material prices and increased workforce investment. For fiscal year 2027, Denso forecasts revenue of ¥7.67 trillion but expects operating profit to decline to ¥500 billion, reflecting increased investments for future growth and business uncertainty. The company raised its annual dividend to ¥67 for FY2026 and forecasts ¥74 for FY2027. Regional performance showed strongest operating profit growth in Europe, up 221.3%.
