Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
  • Eight to fifteen or more years of oil and gas experience in refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related industries.
  • Sound knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas business processes, including risk-based inspection methodologies, fixed-equipment inspection procedures, inspection optimization, piping circuitization, thickness measurement location development, API damage mechanisms, in-service inspection, materials and standards, corrosion, welding, nondestructive testing, thickness inspection management, corrosion management, and inspection-plan development and optimization.
  • Knowledge of asset integrity software such as APM Meridium, Pestra, and Casmeredo.
  • Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas plant operations.
  • Exposure to operating-condition safety, SHE risks, spills, safety incidents, and equipment-failure opportunities.
  • Knowledge of engineering roles and responsibilities in oil and gas field or site operations.
  • Knowledge of corrective and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Knowledge of international standards for equipment design, quality, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2, ASME Section V, ASME Section IX, ASME Section II, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and ASME PCC-2.
  • Experience with field in-service inspection and repair of pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping systems, pressure relief devices, and above-ground storage tanks in operating units.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and in different locations according to business needs.
  • Willingness to travel internationally according to business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical integrity technical support for fixed equipment at petrochemical facilities.
  • Manage risk-based inspection programs, troubleshooting, asset improvement, and technology selection.
  • Provide technical leadership in inspection and corrosion management for upstream and downstream oil and gas assets.
  • Provide technical solutions for upstream and downstream asset integrity.
  • Create innovative solutions, automations, and methodologies for asset integrity work.
  • Analyze inspection results and recommend future actions.
  • Perform mechanical analyses of required thickness and fitness-for-service assessments.
  • Perform integrity assessment and assurance activities, including fitness-for-service assessments, corrosion evaluations, and remaining-life studies.
  • Drive and manage Integrity Engineers to execute workflows with quality at scale.
  • Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for assigned projects.
  • Drive core team members to recruit skilled resources or train internal resources to achieve targets.
  • Act as a bridge between customers, the sales organization, and global technical teams.
  • Lead, develop, nurture, and manage global customer relationships and strategic partnering initiatives.
  • Review technical scoping, estimation, fitment, and feasibility studies, including customer-expectation mapping and solution design prepared by Program Managers and Project Leaders.
  • Evaluate degradation related to pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping circuits, fired equipment, flares, above-ground storage tanks, and pressure relief devices.
  • Monitor and surveil integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and integrity-recommendation stewardship.
  • Identify and analyze bad actors to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Apply data analytics and digital tools and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation.
  • Manage overall integrity effectiveness, including criticality assessments, consequence and complexity ratings for fixed equipment, fit-for-purpose risk-based strategies, task-interval optimization, regulatory and statutory considerations, review of inspection findings, and continuous strategy improvement.
  • Provide regional oversight and stewardship of integrity-work-product metrics for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate communication among global centers and business affiliates for knowledge transfer, shared learning, skill management, and business relationships.
  • Mentor new team members and provide continuous on-the-job guidance.
  • Stay current with industry standards and practices and improve company work processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification and in-depth working knowledge of API 580, API 510, API 570, API 571, and API 653.
  • Certification and in-depth working knowledge as a NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist.
  • Knowledge of BSI, ISO, EN, and AS standards.
  • Knowledge of AWS, CSWIP, and ASNT nondestructive-testing techniques.
  • Experience with Meridium, Credo, Pestra, and SAP.
  • Experience implementing automation, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things techniques in oil and gas portfolios.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. Hillhouse's Sean Carney cited Quest Global's domain expertise and long-term customer relationships as key investment factors. Jefferies served as exclusive financial adviser.

Hillhouse is acquiring a 5% stake in Quest Global at a $4.5 billion valuation, outbidding Temasek in a pre-IPO round. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
