Solution Architect
Andrew Morgan LLC (AM) is a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HUBZone Small Business. We are currently seeking a qualified Solution Architect to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Solution Architect operates with a high level of autonomy and is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and optimization of cloud-based applications and enterprise data solutions. This role develops and maintains the technology roadmap while overseeing projects related to cloud platforms, security, privacy, and compliance. The position collaborates closely with internal leadership and third-party vendors to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business objectives.

Lead and deliver complex technology initiatives across cloud strategy, application rationalization, data management, cloud optimization, engineering, security, privacy, and compliance

Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with strategic and business goals

Ensure technology best practices, enterprise standards, and security controls are implemented and continuously improved

Drive delivery of business value, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and return on investment

Direct and coordinate project budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to support enterprise needs

Establish and oversee High Availability, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity plans

Manage vendor relationships and oversee delivery of features and platform capabilities
-
Monitor project status, risks, and mitigation strategies, and report to leadership

Develop collaborative relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ensure all work products meet or exceed enterprise standards and compliance requirements
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent training

5+ years of experience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms

Experience leading enterprise-scale architecture, design, implementation, and support

Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
-
Experience working in fast-paced environments with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision
Preferred:
-
Experience supporting federal or highly regulated environments

Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Experience with data analytics platforms such as Databricks, Redshift, S3, SQL Server, or Synapse Analytics

Experience with AI tools such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Claude, or Llama

Application development experience using .NET, JavaScript, Java, Salesforce, or PowerApps
-
Proficiency with Python, SQL, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau
-
Experience with ETL/ELT, NoSQL, data warehousing, and enterprise data management

Experience designing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud and database architectures
-
Experience implementing enterprise monitoring, reporting, and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK)

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data security, capacity planning, and failover procedures

Ability to evaluate and recommend technologies that balance business needs, security, and budget
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
