Requirements
  • Three to five years of progressive Food and Beverage Management and Operations experience in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.
  • Computer knowledge, particularly point-of-sale systems such as Silverware and Microsoft Office, is an asset.
  • A hands-on management style with the ability to prioritize and lead by example is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication ability are required.
  • Availability to work afternoon and evening shifts and weekends is required.
  • The role requires constant standing and walking throughout the shift, frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds, occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling, and occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States; work authorization assistance is not available.
Responsibilities
  • Actively manage the floor and drive the service vision within banquets and outlets to build guest loyalty and achieve outstanding service results.
  • Create revenue-driving ideas and opportunities to engage and innovate with the local market and in-house guests.
  • Ensure that all ambassadors are trained and held accountable for brand standards and maintain appropriate grooming standards and clean, proper uniforms.
  • Manage and develop audit programs for brand standards and complete coaching sessions with ambassadors.
  • Maintain a consistent presence with ambassadors in food and beverage areas while balancing the administrative needs of the position.
  • Ensure departmental schedules reflect service commitments, ambassador needs, and business productivity commitments.
  • Take responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance, and storage procedures of operations.
  • Participate in ordering and inventory activities and monitor the use of supplies.
  • Execute opening and closing checklists.
  • Review daily reports, including arrival reports, VIP reports, and group resumes, communicate special requirements, and monitor execution.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings to ensure ambassadors are informed and prepared to deliver service.
  • Ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed and accounting standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for ambassadors and guests.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of food and beverage areas in collaboration with other managers.
  • Work rotating mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
