Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in clinic
  • Medical competence: able to diagnose and treat infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative, physiologic and environmental disease
  • Urgent care: able to triage and stabilize urgent/emergent cases before referring
  • Surgical competence: feline spay and neuter, canine spay and neuter (including mature and large breed), cryptorchid neuter, umbilical hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, gastropexy (ideally)
  • Dental competence: charting, reading radiographs (XR), gingival flaps, burring and sectioning, extractions, closing extraction sites (ideally)
  • Comfort with point-of-care ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound (a plus)
  • Communicates clearly and compassionately with team and clients
  • Demonstrates excellent time management skills and can manage scheduled appointments, walk-ins, urgent cases and tasks
  • Self-start and ability to motivate support staff during slower periods
  • Willingness to collaborate and assist with non-doctor tasks as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other veterinarians in clinic and company-wide to ensure medical alignment and seek help with challenging cases
Responsibilities
  • Use your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine status to its highest level in medicine, surgery and dentistry, and act as a clinic leader
  • Primarily responsible for your own patients including appointments, procedures, interpreting laboratory work, prescribing medications, and follow-ups; ensure timely completion of charting and tasks
  • Foster connections between team members and clients through proactive client plan formulation, thoroughness and efficiency; resolve small conflicts when they arise
  • Actively participate in all team meetings to improve overall medical quality
  • Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members
  • Develop positive relationships with the team and ensure clear, efficient communication of wants and needs with the support and leadership teams
  • Align with and promote Juno initiatives; seek to understand basic business needs, metrics, and benchmarks
  • Expand service offerings through continuing education and trainings
Desired Qualifications

  • Field-specific experiences that enhance clinical leadership roles (e.g., developing mentorship programs)
  • Experience with gastropexy or related complex surgical procedures (if not required)
