  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience plus 5 years of engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing architectural guidance and technical direction to developers, or platform administrators.
  • At least 2 years of experience (or equivalent training/certification) in designing and/or implementing solutions in AWS Services (S3, IAM, EC2, EMR, SQS, RDS, CloudFormation etc.), CICD tools (GIT, Jenkins, Nexus, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy etc) and/or Terraform, Ansible.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and/or implementing data delivery solutions using Data Integration Tools (Informatica, Talend etc.) and/or Data Platforms (Oracle, Snowflake, S3, RDS etc.) or Data Management (Cataloging, Lineage, Quality, MDM etc.).
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, and perform major job responsibilities proficiently within 6-12 months.
  • Analytical ability, problem analysis techniques, and broad knowledge of technology alternatives.
  • Communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with business and IT partners.
Responsibilities
  • Collaboration with customer to evaluate needs and provide architectural guidance in utilizing the right products & services for solutions in support of batch/streaming, real-time, near real-time integration/ELT.
  • Defining physical architectures considering feasibility, timeliness, and cost of planned architecture.
  • Partnering with Delivery & Platform Service Towers in defining architectural and design patterns for data solutions.
  • Working closely with Enterprise Cloud Organization (ECO), Information Protection, infrastructure, and security teams to design scalable solutions that deliver business outcomes.
  • Addressing EDO Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) requests by evaluating the need for new software/technology/products or an exception.
  • Driving product evaluations, defining scoring criteria, and providing recommendations.
  • Incorporation of DevOps and DataOps practices into suggested solutions to drive increased automation.
  • Passionate for engineering simple to complex problems in a hands-on manner when the situation demands.
  • Driving technical road shows to improve adoption of services.
  • Striving for greatness, challenging the status-quo, and influencing solutions.
