Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Assist with selecting, developing, and preparing appropriate instructional materials for parents.
  • Conduct parent interviews and family needs assessments.
  • Conduct developmental screenings and assessments.
  • Provide parents with guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, constructive play activities, and related topics.
  • Assist with coordinating doctor, dental, and other community visits identified by families, including transportation.
  • Maintain individual records on children, including screenings, assessments, referrals, progress reports, and documentation of home visitation activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood, social work, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with young children and families in the home is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

The award recognizes hospitals that consistently meet rigorous standards for treating heart attack patients based on evidence-based guidelines established by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. To earn the Platinum Performance Achievement Award, the hospital demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain-MI Registry for two consecutive years, 2024 and 2025, while meeting the highest performance standards for key quality measures. Participation in the registry helps hospitals evaluate and improve patient care using national data and clinical best practices. "We are proud to present White Oak Medical Center with the Platinum Performance Achievement Award in recognition of its national leadership and steadfast commitment to meeting comprehensive performance measures in patient care," said Leslie L. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 800,000 Americans experience a heart attack each year. Treatment guidelines include rapid restoration of blood flow, administering aspirin when appropriate, smoking cessation counseling, and cardiac rehabilitation. "This recognition reflects our team's commitment to providing timely, evidence-based care for every patient we serve." New $250 million Emergency Department, ICU debut at Shady Grove Medical Center. Published June 13, 2026 at 8:21PM Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center will open its new six-story Horizon Tower on Sunday, June 14, with emergency services relocating to the new facility at 4am. Video Muted The 150,352-square-foot addition includes a new Emergency Department with 38 treatment bays, a state-of-the-art intensive care unit, upgraded stroke care spaces and relocated cardiac catheterization labs designed to improve care coordination and reduce treatment times. The new emergency department will replace the hospital's current adult emergency department, which sees more than 61,000 patients annually. The nearly $250 million project replaces 76 existing critical care rooms and incorporates design features developed following lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, including enhanced infection-control measures, larger negative-pressure rooms and the ability to convert entire units for infectious disease care. Additional features include a rooftop helipad, outdoor ICU family patio, expanded natural lighting and updated technology. The project was supported in part by $22 million in community donations, and hospital officials say the tower is intended to improve patient care, staff efficiency and emergency preparedness for the region.
