Requirements
  • At least one year of retail management experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, or squatting, and to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Store Leader by directing activities required to achieve store goals, including guest service, sales objectives, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation.
  • Provide exceptional guest service through relationship building, product knowledge sharing, and maintaining a clean, well-maintained store environment.
  • Foster a guest-focused team environment and anticipate guest needs.
  • Role-model company service standards and drive excellent guest service.
  • Provide timely feedback to associates and recognize performance to support retention.
  • Hold associates accountable for financial results and performance standards.
  • Manage conflict and coach associates using company processes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Empower associates and involve them in decision-making.
  • Develop associates by matching talent with tasks, delegating, and challenging them on results.
  • Build team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognition of individual contributions.
  • Lead the team through change and adversity.
  • Make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations based on team-member performance.
  • Meet or exceed store and individual goals and contribute to overall store goals.
  • Engage guests and make their shopping experience exceptional.
  • Co-lead floor-set and refresh management.
  • Manage and oversee scheduling.
  • Manage back-of-house organization.
  • Manage the shipment and product-preparation process, including steaming and hanging merchandise.
  • Plan and manage merchandise markdowns.
  • Manage supply orders, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Manage inventory and damages.
  • Audit and manage banking and loss-prevention systems.
  • Train new associates on operational processes.
  • Co-manage payroll and store financial performance.
  • Make decisions regarding store operations and planning.
  • Control workflow through planning and delegation.
  • Execute task directives within designated time frames.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Adhere to loss-prevention practices and report potential incidents to control shortages and protect company assets.
  • Communicate effectively with the executive team.
  • Use weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales.
  • Interpret Home Office communications through partnership with the Store Leader and District Leader.
  • Partner with the Visual District Leader and Visual Assistant Store Leader to oversee floorsets, window sets, fixture placement, and the overall visual environment.
  • Maintain awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment and communicate with the team.
  • Communicate performance observations and feedback to the District Leader.
