  • About the Job:
  • As our Vice President, Accounting, you will play a critical role in linking Redesign's strategy and operating results with our financial performance. Your goal is to scale our operating company accounting function and ensure our portfolio of 50+ businesses are reporting accurately, while digesting and tracking the financial data to improve our business model and derive real-time insights
  • In this role, you will be responsible for our periodic reporting package of operational results, including business unit KPIs, and partner with the Head of Accounting and Department Heads in driving operational efficiencies and performance. You will also help to build and maintain operational reporting on budgets for each Operating Company (OpCo) Redesign launches and own our unit economics analysis
  • What you will do:
  • Own all aspects of OpCo accounting including the production of GAAP compliant financials from our OpCos as we consolidate a rapidly growing portfolio of equity stakes, Initial setup of general ledger and Netsuite instances
  • Lead team of OpCo accounting managers focused on closing monthly financials for our portfolio companies
  • Track the per Operating Company unit economics leveraging internal time tracking data and Netsuite
  • Implement new processes and technology systems to improve our scalability as we offer accounting services to 25+ OpCos per year
  • Partner closely with the Head of Accounting and Department Leads across Redesign to leverage the financial data from OpCos to make key business decisions and adapt our model
  • What you will need:
  • You have 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on technical accounting and systems implementations across a large portfolio of business lines or subsidiaries
  • You have foundational accounting and auditing experience at a big four or mid-large size public accounting firms, followed by in-house experience
  • What you will bring to the table:
  • You have a strong understanding of budgeting and GAAP accounting and how operational results translate into financial performance
  • You have a systems thinking approach where you implement scalability and the capability to model complex systems
  • You have experience partnering with senior leaders to drive performance
