Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Electrical Engineering, a science-based discipline, or a Supply Chain-related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in direct material sourcing, supply chain, engineering, or operations is required.
  • Professional or educational knowledge of one or more of the following commodity categories is required: cables, wire harnesses, electrical components, printed circuit board assemblies, electronic components, and electromechanical components.
  • Ability to work five days a week on-site at the Glenview, Illinois corporate campus with flexibility in hours.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • The position does not sponsor individuals who now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze internal and external datasets to identify cost-savings opportunities, supply risks, and data anomalies, and communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Validate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of sourcing decisions.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis to support strategic sourcing solutions.
  • Create and maintain datasets as appropriate.
  • Use third-party tools to drive data cleansing and standardization.
  • Support the development and execution of global sourcing strategies.
  • Drive supplier segmentation and consolidate spend with preferred suppliers.
  • Protect ITW's long-term interests, where appropriate, through formal contracts or agreements with suppliers.
  • Engage regularly with engineering and innovation teams globally in new product development projects to support ITW's organic growth goals.
  • Create comprehensive analyses of supplier quotations to support sourcing selections.
  • Work with ITW divisions to obtain and validate commodity sourcing requirements.
  • Work with the supply base to ensure a timely and efficient request-for-quotation process.
  • Capture commodity market data and create comprehensive market and supplier summaries to support sourcing strategies.
  • Manage lifecycle, lead-time and availability, sole-sourcing, financial, supplier-selection, warranty, and other supply risks.
  • Track commodity shortages, price increases, force majeure events, and other events to ensure supply continuity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in Design for Manufacturing and VAVE are desired.
  • Power BI experience is a plus.

ITW raises dividend 7% and authorises $6B share buyback programme

Illinois Tool Works Inc. has announced a 7% increase in its annual dividend, raising it from $6.44 to $6.88 per share. The fourth-quarter dividend of $1.72 will be payable on 9 October 2026 to shareholders of record on 30 September 2026. The company's board has also authorised a new $6 billion share repurchase programme. Management will determine the timing and volume of buybacks at its discretion. Christopher O'Herlihy, president and chief executive officer, said the moves reflect the strength of ITW's business model and confidence in long-term growth and free cash flow generation. This marks the company's 63rd consecutive annual dividend increase. ITW is a Fortune 300 manufacturing company with $16 billion in revenue in 2025.
