  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of previous sales experience or similar role
  • Must be both social and amicable with the innate ability to build relationships with senior level executives
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with media buying/selling cycles and key performance metrics
  • Ability to self-manage and has a strong sense of pride in their work
  • A problem solver who is highly motivated, self-directed, and goal oriented for success
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient and professional communicator
  • Strong presentation and prospecting skills, both over the phone and in person
  • Experience with Salesforce, and willingness to learn new tools such as Smartsheet, Liquid Planner, and more
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
Responsibilities
  • Drive business revenues by developing relationships with potential advertising clients and selling advertising packages across PitchBook’s daily newsletter, research reports, white label content, magazine, and digital news site
  • Independently prospect new business opportunities by building and leveraging a personal network with potential and current clients
  • Work with our Platform Sales and Customer Success teams to identify and sell media advertising programs for existing clients
  • Collaborate with other Editorial team members to develop new advertising/sponsorship products
  • Develop new sales business while also managing existing relationships
  • Build and maintain forecasts of new and existing business
  • Become an expert on the private equity, venture capital, and M&A markets and understand how we deliver value to each of our diverse client types
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
