Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a concentration in finance, accounting, or economics is preferred.
  • One to three years of experience is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of private equity and hedge fund securities, real assets, and general market mechanics are required.

Responsibilities
  • Independently review, research, assess, and update valuations for alternative assets.
  • Produce custom business-segment and firm analytics for managerial reporting on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
  • Partner with investment teams to create new alternative assets and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Validate alternative asset statements provided by fund companies for accuracy.
  • Engage custodians, funds, portfolio management, client service, and operational teams to resolve valuation issues, breaks, delays, and related matters.
  • Escalate fair-value pricing matters when valuations may be incorrect and determine resolutions against pricing policies and guidelines.
  • Present factual support and documentation to stakeholders to resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Manage the queue of ticket requests in the internal task-management system and independently resolve tickets as needed.
  • Evaluate pricing data points using financial and market knowledge, update systems, and provide data supporting recommended actions.
  • Partner with client teams when onboarding large relationships with complex alternative-asset holdings and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Manage internal and external transfers of investments and execute subscription and redemption activities.
  • Identify and escalate control gaps and propose and implement best practices and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and contribute to firm-wide and departmental value-add projects and present project findings to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Experience with eFront, Advent, Axys/APX, or similar accounting products is preferred.

Brown Advisory Brown Advisory has appointed Lisi Bailliere Dean as head of its San Francisco office. A partner and portfolio manager in the firm's private client, endowments and foundations business, Dean will continue advising clients. The office is located in the Presidio area of the city, and a hub for work with individuals, families, foundations, endowments and institutional investors across California. Brown Advisory, operating as a private and independent firm since 1988, was responsible for about $188.4 billion of client money as of June 30 this year. It has more than 1,000 personnel and operates 20 offices worldwide. Prior to joining Brown Advisory, Dean was a senior vice president and private wealth advisor at Capital Group Private Client Services; previously he held institutional equity sales positions at Merrill Lynch and Alex Brown. Dean holds a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Raymond James, Ameriprise Financial A team including three advisors, based in New Jersey, has joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James. Operating as Seven Arrows Wealth in Parsippany, New Jersey, the team previously managed $250 million in client assets at Ameriprise Financial Services. (NYSE:NOW) during the first quarter of 2026 as part of efforts to refine its software sector positioning amid evolving competitive dynamics and AI innovation uncertainty. The investment firm redeployed capital into Palo Alto Networks, which it believes is better positioned for long-term growth. Earlier in her career, Barrett was an assistant portfolio manager at Davy Stockbrokers Ireland. LPL Financial, NorthStar Wealth Advisors LPL Financial has announced that financial advisor Ronald White has launched a new independent practice, NorthStar Wealth Advisors, with support from Good Life Companies, an LPL Financial-affiliated firm. The team, which reported serving about $160 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets, has joined from Raymond James. The business is based in El Paso, Texas. White is joined by wealth advisor Scott Draime. Draime also brings approximately 30 years of industry experience, working with private wealth clients and families on retirement planning and relationship-driven financial guidance.
