The Quality Intern will perform a variety of professional Quality related tasks in research, development, design, testing and analysis of inspection techniques, methods, and procedures. This is a paid internship - 40 hours per week for 8 - 10 weeks in an office environment; this is not a remote position.
YOUR IMPACT
Plan, develop, and coordinate detailed phases of inspection on a wide variety of manufacturing concerns
Help to ensure compliance to established procedures and interact with team leaders and subject matter experts, including design engineers to produce documents and help train individuals
Complete research regarding problem areas of varying scope and complexity to develop suitable inspection techniques, monitoring schedules and procedures for application in problem areas
Work with engineering and manufacturing disciplines to resolve production quality problems
Support 6S, Kaizen, A3, and other RCI events
Support RCI Training activities and initiatives
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
QUALIFICATIONS
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (preferably Junior or Senior), in the following fields of study: Business or Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
Strong MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel and Word
Excellent communication and organization skills
Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
High attention to detail
Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices a plus (i.e., Kanban, 5S/6S, A3)
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
