DISCO is a legal tech software company. Our objective is to own the legal tech market and become the leader in legal as Salesforce has done in the sales technology space. Given the massive growth of data over the last 20 years, poorly built legal technology products have severely decreased lawyers ability to practice the law.

Our fundamental mission is to provide a unified technology platform for the practice of law. Great technology can solve problems of scale in data, in laws, and in business operations that have distracted lawyers from doing what they went to law school to do. DISCO is fixing the law by automating the parts of the practice that can be automated so that great lawyers can focus on tasks that really do require human legal judgment.

To date, we have substantially disrupted the legal tech market with a lawyer inspired consumer-grade interface and a cloud-enabled technology platform that offers unprecedented performance and cost savings. Your Impact

At DISCO, our cloud infrastructure and system control plane are the backbone that enables us to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients. As a Staff Engineer on our growing DevOps team, you will be a technical leader, evolving and managing our AWS-based cloud infrastructure, focusing on our internal platform and control plane. Your expertise will deliver enhancements to our system’s reliability, scalability, security, and the overall success of our cloud-based solution development. Your work will help shape our future cloud strategy through your collaboration with our internal customers, our fellow Engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Systems: Engage actively in coding, code reviews, and technical discussions, ensuring high-quality output.
• Architect Systems: Design and implement a robust cloud network infrastructure across a distributed system architecture.
• Improve Configuration: Continuously enhance system security, focusing on meeting internal customer needs using the best practices for designing scalable network infrastructure.
• Provide Technical Mentorship: Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical & operational excellence, as well as continuous learning.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

Who You Are

• An Engineer with 10+ years of experience (Infrastructure, Networking)
• 7+ years working with cloud-native applications in AWS
• 5+ years of writing Infrastructure As Code
• 4+ years of configuring and Maintaining Linux Systems with Scripting/Automation
• 3+ years Scripting Languages 
• An Engineer who enjoys partnering with Engineers across the stack to build, deploy, and maintain highly performant systems
• An Engineer who prefers to work collaboratively, whether it’s learning from or mentoring others.

Even Better If You Have…

• Experience building and managing PaaS (Platform as a Service) systems for internal customers
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking and/or Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) Certifications
• Experience with Windows Servers, ASP.NET Deployments (WebDeploy)
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure & GCP
• Experience with Software Development, any tech stack
