Mycronic's Pattern Generators division is acquiring Cowin DST, a South Korean company specializing in display panel and photomask repair systems. Mycronic's Global Technologies division has acquired Surfx Technologies, a US-based company specializing in atmospheric plasma solutions for surface treatment in electronics manufacturing. MRAM test system developer Hprobe in France has been acquired by Swedish production equipment maker Mycronic as part of a move into the semiconductor market.
Swedish company Mycronic has acquired French firm Hprobe, based in Grenoble, which specializes in high-speed magnetic testing equipment for MRAM and magnetic sensors. Founded in 2017, Hprobe emerged from the Spintec laboratory and employs 14 people, with a revenue of €4 million in 2024. Mycronic, with a 2024 revenue of €643 million, sees Hprobe as a strategic fit for expanding in silicon wafer and semiconductor testing, with growth potential in AI, VR/AR, and automotive sectors.
