  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from an Accredited Institution
  • 7 - 10 years’ experience working in a consulting firm, this is a Senior level role that requires a background in the MEP Engineering Industry
  • Central Plant Design experience - both stream and chiller central plant system, a plus
  • Project management skills a plus, includes managing an internal design team.
  • Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience required, as you will have a very strong technical role.
  • PE required.
Responsibilities
  • Representing the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
  • Creating designs under the direction of a senior engineer and/or senior designer, develop specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes.
  • Leading and overseeing design and integration of both steam and chiller central plant systems, including both central plant equipment and distribution piping within the plant and campus-wide design.
  • Analysis of capabilities to include overall heat and mass balance, energy efficiency optimization, equipment selection, and sizing of piping and ductwork.
  • Providing in-depth knowledge and technical leadership on central plant systems, including components, performance optimization, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experienced with utilizing master planning, life cycle cost analysis, energy modeling and hydraulic calculations.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements.
  • Developing custom central plant solutions that enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting healthcare regulations.
  • Leading the development of technical documentation, including system specifications, technical reports and narratives, and construction documents.
  • Conducting thorough quality assurance checks and evaluations of both your work and working the broader team to ensure the systems designed will perform efficiently, safely, and reliably, while also meeting client requirements.
  • Staying updated on the latest advancements in central plant technology and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance system performance and energy efficiency.
