ISS STOXX is seeking Climate Analytics Consultant to join our team in Goregaon East, Mumbai.

Overview:

The climate unit of ISS Stoxx is seeking a specialist to join its team. Successful candidates will have a background in both quantitative and qualitative analysis and exhibit a passion for the responsible investment business with a focus on climate change. The candidate should have a collaborative approach to work and a track record of project management and problem solving while working with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage the implementation of mandates and data deliveries towards clients and take responsibility for product development and management as part of the climate analytics team. This includes interactions with colleagues and clients from around the globe and collaborating with other units.

Climate Solutions is a unit within ISS Sustainability, the responsible investment business of ISS. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate Solutions provides data, analytics and advisory services to support financial market participants and governments to understand, measure, and act on climate-related risks and its impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS Stoxx Climate Solutions is a market leader within its field and highly innovative.

Responsibilities: 

• Support Emission Modelling and data analytics for standardized and bespoke climate products with strong focus on GHG emissions.

• Conduct climate impact analysis of investment portfolios across all asset classes

• Support sales and client success colleagues with client requests

• Support colleagues and clients on advisory offerings of Climate products including support on day-to-day communications, operations and report writing.

• Support team with quantitative analysis and research on climate strategies of companies.

• Manage the implementation of advisory mandates and bespoke data deliveries of ISS Stoxx Climate Solutions

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience relating to GHG emission modelling, data analytics, climate change or other sustainability topics.

• Advanced university degree ideally in environmental science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, expertise in financial (sustainability) topics is a bonus.

• Demonstrated interest in climate change in general

• Specific knowledge in investment carbon foot printing, climate impact assessments of investments, GHG-accounting, Scope 3 emission modelling or Life Cycle Analysis.

• Very strong quantitative (and qualitative) analytical skills and excellent conceptual thinking aptitude

• Excellent command of Excel and good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

• Understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning and good working knowledge of Python is crucial.

• Excellent oral and written command of English. Fluency in French or German is a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer-first attitude

• Willingness to work with a highly collaborative, flexible and innovative team across different locations

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
