Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience using hand tools and common shop tools is required.
  • The candidate must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills.
  • The candidate must be dependable, productive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The candidate must have strong communication and basic interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must provide personal hand tools.
  • The candidate must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and regularly climb ladders and stairs.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and a motor vehicle report is required for the final candidate.
  • Approved safety equipment, including safety glasses with side shields and steel-toe footwear, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a shop environment with some outside exposure and perform the physical demands of walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble generator set packages, enclosures, and packaged components using hand tools, shop equipment, and material-handling devices.
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical assembly work according to drawings and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
  • Work closely with production supervisors to meet build schedules and quality expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety requirements.
  • Support general shop and warehouse tasks as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • The ability to read and understand engineering or shop drawings is preferred.
