Data Quality Analyst

Data Quality Analyst

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our Data Platform team. You will take responsibility for the quality and validity of our master data, and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a good understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases. This position is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly expanding company and will suit an applicant looking to learn, and further their career.

You will join us in supporting our large scale, distributed platform spanning across multiple geographic locations. Our platform resides fully in AWS, operates in dozens of markets globally and focuses on ease of use for our customers along with integrity & security for the data they trust us with.

Responsibilities 

• Provide quality assurance of imported data.
• Supporting the Data Engineers in gathering, understanding and interpreting business requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
• Monitor and audit data quality.
• Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
• Manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the business
• Work the JIRA ticket queue for any data related requests and tasks.
• Create and maintain data dictionary documentation as required.

What we are looking for…..

• BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management or Statistics.
• Post-graduate qualifications (in related disciplines) would be advantageous
• 3+ years’ professional experience as a Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Experience in interpreting and validating requirements through factual analysis and challenging of requirements and associated assumptions.
• Strong T-SQL scripting skills.
• Hands on experience in handling large data sets.
• Hands on experience in analytics and data insights using tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI

Desired skills

• Experience with AWS or other public cloud providers is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with regulatory privacy landscape (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
• Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, R, etc.)
• Experience with Redshift DW highly desirable 
• Experience with Snaplogic PaaS, or other ETL\ELT tools
• Experience with Jenkins automation tool 
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, and Confluence.
