Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed United States anesthesiology residency training and required American Board of Anesthesiology certification.
  • Current or recent clinical practice in anesthesiology in the United States within the last two years.
  • Familiarity with the American Board of Anesthesiology exam content outline, current exam style and format, and current United States clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to collaborate asynchronously and deliver work with a fast turnaround.
  • Ability to distinguish board-relevant or clinically useful content from non-essential subspecialty detail.
Responsibilities
  • Validate market research and consult on practice patterns, study patterns, pain points, and certification pathways.
  • Review large language model-generated draft questions, including stems, answer choices, and explanations, for clinical accuracy, board-exam relevance, and item quality.
  • Flag inaccuracies, outdated information, flawed distractors, or missing high-risk content without rewriting the content.
  • Apply clinical expertise during discovery and rollout phases of a specialty board-exam question bank to refine and validate market data, advise on scope of practice and common pain points, and perform hands-on work on anesthesia question-bank content.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in medical education, teaching, or item writing, especially for residents or board-exam preparation, including American Board of Anesthesiology item-writing committees or the National Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Experience with clinical decision-support or question-bank tools such as AMBOSS, UWorld, or TrueLearn.
  • Experience reviewing or evaluating artificial intelligence or large language model-generated clinical content.
