Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or project leadership capacity; alternatively, a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience, an associate's degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and data protection regulations, including CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and related U.S. state and federal requirements.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity assessments, audits, regulatory inspections, compliance programs, or risk management initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on familiarity with technologies used to build data discovery, classification, and data loss prevention programs.
  • Working knowledge of data encryption concepts and approaches across different environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology functions in a global environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity, information protection, and data privacy matters across the United States.
  • Partner with Business, Digital & Technology, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to provide cybersecurity and information protection guidance for strategic initiatives, business transformations, and technology projects.
  • Assess and manage cybersecurity and information protection risks associated with business initiatives, applications, digital solutions, and third-party engagements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity and data protection regulations across the United States, including CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, state-level privacy laws, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory engagements as required.
  • Lead cybersecurity and data protection compliance programs, including regulatory assessments, filings, remediation planning, and related compliance activities.
  • Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, regulatory developments, and compliance risks, and drive security awareness, risk management, and information protection initiatives across the organization.
  • Define information protection controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support deployment and ongoing support of data loss prevention, data discovery, data labeling, and data tagging solutions.
  • Support development of data protection policies and standards.
  • Support cybersecurity incident response, escalation, and remediation activities when required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support business needs across multiple time zones, including occasional coordination with Latin America-based teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred knowledge of data protection and cybersecurity regulations across Latin America, including LGPD in Brazil, Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data, and other regional frameworks.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, information protection, data privacy, or regulatory compliance programs within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
  • Hands-on experience with GRC platforms such as Archer.

  • Spanish or Portuguese language proficiency.

Medicus Pharma secures Pfizer ADC deal with $2M funding, advances SkinJect for rare cancer treatment

Medicus Pharma has secured a development and licensing agreement with Pfizer for a CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate programme focused on solid tumours, including refractory melanoma. Pfizer is providing approximately $2 million in development funding, plus inventory and infrastructure support. CEO Dr Raza Bokhari said the deal allows Medicus to continue from where Pfizer concluded its Phase 1 dose-escalation work, strengthening the company's position in precision oncology. Medicus is also advancing its SkinJect programme for basal cell carcinoma. Final clinical trial results identified the 200-microgram patch as the optimal dose for future studies. The company is preparing for the FDA-approved pivotal SkinJect 005 study whilst recruiting patients. An independent reimbursement analysis suggests SkinJect could achieve reimbursement levels of $25,000 or more per patient.

AbbVie beats Pfizer as top dividend stock with 53-year payout streak and 203% growth

AbbVie offers a smarter long-term dividend investment than Pfizer, despite Pfizer's higher 6.1% yield. AbbVie holds Dividend King status with 53 consecutive years of dividend increases and raised its payout by 5.5% this year to $1.73 per share. Over the past decade, AbbVie increased its dividend by more than 203% compared to Pfizer's 51%. AbbVie's revenue grew 138% during this period, whilst Pfizer's rose just 18%. AbbVie successfully navigated Humira's patent cliff through home-grown immunology drugs Skyrizi and Rinvoq. By 2025, these two drugs generated combined annual sales exceeding $25 billion, replacing Humira's peak revenue and pushing total company revenue to record highs. AbbVie's free-cash-flow dividend payout ratio stands at 65%, lower than Pfizer's 89%.

Pfizer received FDA approval for its updated Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, with deliveries to pharmacies and clinics beginning immediately. The company's shares were trading at $27.9079 on 28 August. However, the market opportunity has significantly narrowed from pandemic levels. Eligibility is now limited to adults aged 65 and older, plus higher-risk patients aged 5 through 64. Despite Comirnaty having distributed over five billion doses worldwide historically, today's revenue potential is considerably more constrained. Pfizer faces competition from Moderna and the Novavax-Sanofi protein vaccine for this smaller patient pool. The company's current share price sits 5.27% above its estimated value of $26.51, suggesting investors are paying a premium before actual uptake and commercial results become clear.

FDA approves Pfizer-BioNTech XFG-adapted COVID-19 vaccine for high-risk groups

Pfizer and BioNTech have received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for their 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine targeting the XFG variant. The vaccine is approved for adults aged 65 and older, and individuals aged 5 to 64 with underlying conditions that increase risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes. The FDA approval is based on clinical, non-clinical and real-world data demonstrating the vaccine generates strong immune responses against currently circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants, including XFG and other contemporary lineages. The XFG variant was selected following FDA guidance for fall 2026 vaccine composition. The vaccine will begin shipping immediately and will be available in US pharmacies, hospitals and clinics within days. To date, more than five billion doses of COMIRNATY have been distributed globally.
