  • 3+ years experience with needle piercing
  • Experience working with internally threaded 2-piece piercing jewellery
  • Up to date with First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens, OSHA Certifications
  • Experience working with autoclaves
  • Have or be registrable with local law enforcement or meet requirements by area for permits such as the “Practitioner Registration”, Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid/CPR, Vaccination requirements etc
  • Understanding of local market piercing law requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment -you understand the importance of experimentation and iteration

Responsibilities
  • Creating a customized and memorable customer service experience that focuses on building enduring relationships through the connection and relation of our brand and brand values
  • Increasing customer awareness about Mejuri & our Piercing Studios
  • Passionate about the Mejuri mission of empowering women to buy diamonds for themselves
  • Act as a stylist and advise which items pair well with each other
  • Build a strong clientele and be able to deliver a unique piercing experience to our clients
  • Works closely with the Store Manager on improving the flow and process of the piercing studio
  • Explains the aftercare sheet to each client, inform clients of signs and symptoms of infection
  • Explain service procedure and risks to clients, and identify any medical concerns which may prevent piercing before the service and including suggested care and any medical complications that may occur as a result of the procedure
  • Management and ordering of all piercing equipment such as needles, latex-free gloves, sterilizer, patient towels, alcohol pads, Q-Tips, paper towels etc
  • Complete all necessary documentation for shrink monitoring reasons and taking action to reduce shrink where possible
  • Point of contact for Stericycle and arranges the pick up of disposables
  • Know health and safety protocols surrounding piercing procedures
  • Maintain Mejuri brand standards of visual presentation, cleanliness and functionality of displays
  • Partner with the Head of Piercing to roll out and launch new initiatives in an organized, timely manner
  • Inform HQ of any internal (team members) and external (customer) feedback
  • Ensure compliance of Health & Safety policies and procedures within the store set up
