Summary:

As a Logistics Lead, you will oversee safe and compliant logistics operations, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, including raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Your role will focus on optimizing logistics costs to support production needs and meet final customer requirements. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to supply chain efficiency improvements, positively impacting operational cost control and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Ensure safe logistics operations and adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations for material flow.
Deliver on-time, in-quality, and in-specification delivery of materials to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Monitor, analyze, and follow up on logistic costs, including transport, handling, and warehousing, while maintaining high inventory accuracy.
Manage logistics service providers (LSPs) by tracking Service Level Agreements, resolving quality issues, and providing technical advice on product handling.
Lead or participate in assigned projects, deploy compliant logistics procedures, and propose process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.

Required Skills:

Relevant degree or equivalent in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience in end-to-end logistics operations, preferably in the manufacturing or chemical industry, with expertise in managing LSPs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Solid knowledge of business operations, products, supply chain trends, and Australian laws/regulations affecting logistics, including dangerous goods transport and customs.
Proficiency in organizing daily logistics activities, such as transportation booking, stock supervision, and order administrative handling.
Ability to analyze logistics performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and drive process improvements to reduce costs.
Commitment to HSE compliance and maintaining ethical standards in all logistics actions and collaborations.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve supply chain goals.
Ownership-driven mindset, with accountability for logistics performance and a focus on delivering excellence in cost-effectiveness, customer service, and sustainability.
