Job Summary

KBR has an exciting opportunity for experienced Software Development Engineers in support of the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) Point Mugu, CA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Developing well-designed, testable, efficient software code per established DOD standards
• Integrating software components into existing systems
• Troubleshooting/debugging/enhancing existing systems and deployment
• Acting as an active and integral member of an Agile team to achieve the completion of assigned goals collaboratively

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Security Clearance required
• BA/BS in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related field
• 10 years of progressive, related experience preferably in support of the Joint Mission Planning System
• Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work within Agile and SAFe Agile Framework based development teams and guidelines
• Knowledge and experience with the following are highly preferred:
  • JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, NodeJS and React
  • C#, WPF and Java
  • SQL server and other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.)
  • Using Relational Databases in Service and object-oriented development environments.
  • Service Oriented Architectures, Development, Automated Testing tools/methodologies, Deployment and Orchestration.
  • Software security and quality scanning tools (SonarQube, Twist lock etc.) and remediation
  • Knowledge and experience with the following are highly desired: 
  • .NET/.NET Core and Linux
  • Microservices, REST and GraphQL
  • Kubernetes, HELM Charts
  • DevOps, BitBucket, Mono Repo and Confluence
  • TFS, GIT, Jira, Jira Align
  • RabbitMQ, Kafka,
  • HTML
  • Docker Container
  • LogStash
  • Zuul

Requisition Compensation:

$136,000-170,000

The salary range posted is for California locations. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
