Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong client-focused mindset and commitment to delivering results.
Responsibilities
  • Review plans, specifications, and construction documents and identify design deficiencies, constructability issues, and potential code concerns.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and project turnover with the estimating team.
  • Lead preconstruction meetings with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Develop meeting agendas, distribute meeting minutes, and maintain project records.
  • Create and maintain the critical path schedule and update the project schedule throughout construction.
  • Develop project logistics, quality control procedures, safety plans, staffing plans, and the overall construction strategy with field leadership.
  • Negotiate subcontractor and vendor agreements and manage project buyout goals.
  • Procure owner-furnished materials and temporary facilities or equipment.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Manage project execution from mobilization through completion across multiple commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily with the Superintendent to achieve schedule, quality, safety, and budget objectives.
  • Lead and mentor project staff and foster collaboration across the project team.
  • Manage submittals, shop drawings, Requests for Information, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, contract documents, applicable codes, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct weekly project meetings and distribute minutes and action items.
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Proposal, subcontractor selection, and vendor procurement.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee project safety, quality assurance, and project execution plans.
  • Prepare schedules of values and monthly payment applications.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on collections and Accounts Payable on subcontractor and vendor payments.
  • Prepare and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and project billing documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasting, job costing, and overall financial performance.
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor and vendor invoices.
  • Manage prime contract change orders, including pricing, documentation, and owner approvals.
  • Interpret and administer contract requirements, addenda, supplemental instructions, and directives.
  • Resolve technical, scheduling, financial, and communication issues.
  • Coordinate inspections with governing agencies and third-party inspectors.
  • Monitor field productivity and forecast labor requirements.
  • Ensure subcontractors perform work in accordance with plans, specifications, approved submittals, and contract documents.
  • Perform ongoing quality control inspections with field leadership.
  • Ensure timely correction of punch-list items and construction deficiencies.
  • Coordinate completion of punch-list items during closeout.
  • Manage closeout documentation, including owner manuals, warranties, record drawings, test reports, certificates of occupancy, and final inspections.
  • Prepare final job cost analysis and budget reporting.
  • Conduct project closeout reviews with estimating to evaluate budget performance and improve future estimating accuracy.
  • Coordinate owner training, utility transfers, and removal of temporary facilities.
  • Submit final applications for payment and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors are paid and all required closeout documentation is received.
  • Integrate project financials into Procore and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Manage commitments, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders in Procore and project systems.
  • Maintain RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, schedules, punch lists, and project documentation in project systems.
  • Monitor budgets and update forecasts regularly.
  • Upload schedules, drawings, addenda, supplemental instructions, and project documents.
  • Track project milestones and maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.

Axel Springer acquires commercial real estate media firm Bisnow

Axel Springer has acquired Bisnow, a commercial real estate media and events company backed by private equity firm The Wicks Group. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2005, Bisnow hosts over 400 live events annually across 47 markets in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, connecting decision-makers in the commercial real estate sector through news, events and B2B solutions. Bisnow will join Morning Brew Inc. in the newly formed Brew Media Group, led by Robert Dippell, who previously served as Bisnow's chief revenue officer. The companies will operate independently whilst pursuing further US acquisitions. Bisnow's executive team, including CEO Gregg Mayer, will remain in place. BrightTower advised Bisnow on the transaction.
