Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programming (Logix5000 & Logix500); standard and safety logic
Develop, implement, and maintain HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk & Ignition)
Develop, implement, and maintain Robot programs (FANUC, UR)
Develop, and maintain electrical drawings (Draft Site)
Develop sequence of operations for equipment programs
Work with design team to create Risk assessments and develop control circuits/programs to mitigate documented risks
Work with design team for development of new equipment, or upgrades to existing equipment
Coordinating with Maintenance or vendors for the installation, repair, upgrade, or removal of equipment to minimize impact to production
Anticipating and solving equipment problems in a timely manner
Provide technical assistance to production operations and design engineering in facilitating daily demands and requirements for the continued success of the company
Support technicians in investigation and troubleshooting line down situations
Setup and/or reconfigure production cells for new products per the production schedule

Desired Qualifications

FANUC Robot experience is a plus
Ignition development experience is a plus
Python programming experience is a plus

Job Summary:

As a Controls Engineer for JMA Wireless, you will be hands on, working with a multi discipline team to commission new equipment and support existing equipment in both our Liverpool and downtown Syracuse, NY facilities.
