Requirements
  • The candidate must be a student at Bac +4/5 level in Banking or Finance.
  • The candidate must be able to take initiative and manage priorities.
  • The candidate must be rigorous, precise, organized, and able to analyze and synthesize information.
  • The candidate must have very good writing skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Perform financial and sector analyses to prepare client or prospect meetings and identify appropriate approaches.
  • Contribute to market studies on dynamic sectors undergoing significant consolidation, in coordination with business development teams and sector specialists from the investment bank.
  • Propose relevant companies to prospect and support over the long term, including startups, high-growth companies, and acquisitive companies in sectors undergoing significant consolidation.
  • Identify contact opportunities by monitoring major sector transactions in financial databases such as CF News and Mergermarket, the press, and social networks such as LinkedIn.
  • Contribute to preparing credit files for annual renewals across the existing client portfolio.
  • Contribute to updating tracking tables and reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • A first experience in the banking or finance sector.
  • Knowledge of Upslide in addition to Microsoft Office proficiency.

Grégoire Salignon named new head of Rothschild Martin Maurel

Rothschild & Co has appointed Grégoire Salignon as head of its French private bank Rothschild Martin Maurel, replacing Alain Massiera. Massiera will remain in an active strategic role. Salignon joined Rothschild & Co in 2002 as a wealth planning specialist and became deputy chief executive of Rothschild Martin Maurel in 2023. From 12 April, he oversees the firm's wealth management operations across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and Monaco. Massiera has led Rothschild Martin Maurel's wealth and asset management activities since 2011, during which time assets under management increased 6.5 times. He will continue working with major clients and expansion projects, including the Italian branch launch and Monaco subsidiary support. Executive chairman Alexandre de Rothschild said the transition ensures management stability aligned with client expectations.
