Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred and/or some college preferred
  • Be willing to take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employees
  • Be willing to train during any shift hours for new employees for at least 2 weeks
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Good written communication skills
  • Exhibits and practices positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provides training for individual or group settings to new hires as well as tenured employees (i.e., order selectors, loader, auditors, etc. new Employee, elevate training, cross training, quality training)
  • Creates landmarks to be achieved through training content and create training plans.
  • Implements New Employee Onboarding Program to all employees across all roles inside the warehouse. This would include leadership.
  • Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.
  • Drives engagement with each employee.
  • Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes Training Matrix report that will provide you and your site with data that supports employee’s knowledge, employees’ hours in a function, the number of employees with knowledge in a function, etc.
  • Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency.
  • Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
  • Documents each training program and module properly and provide follow up for refresher training courses.
  • Determines that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
  • Maintains a training log with trainees and holds weekly one-on-one meetings with new selectors.
  • Functions as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training.
  • Learns and trains on all functions within the warehouse.
  • Travels as necessary based on needs of the business.
