YOUR IMPACT 

Redwood is looking for a driven Migration Engineer to join our team. This role will follow triaged priority and scope identified by the Migration Engineering Leadership Team to create and maintain migration tooling and scripts, primarily focused on current/future Java-based solutions and architecture. 

Are you a real problem solver with strong Java knowledge and a passion in understanding complex migration challenges and reverse engineering of applications business logic. Then this is the role for you!  

• Create and maintain migration tools that do ETL for competitive offerings built as Java -based solutions 

• Collaborate on design, following an overall structure and making informed programming decisions 

• Follows defined coding and testing standards as set forth by the  Engineering Lead 

• Help do code review of peers

• Architect new and more efficient ways to migrate prospects and customers 

• Resolves identified issues with existing migration tools where possible and appropriate 

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Strong understanding and professional experience with Java Development

• Experience with ETL development, defining warehouse architecture and determining the tools to load data into it.

• Experience with development project management solutions such as Jira 

• Experience with development change management solutions such as Git 

• Understanding of data structures, including databases, flat-file storage, etc 

• Strong problem solving, information-gathering and searching skills 

• Having worked on forward and backward linking - compiler like problems is a plus.
