Requirements
- AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for performing and providing quality ultrasound procedures, services and exams.
- Performs thoracic, abdominal, arterial, venous, pelvic ultrasound exams.
- Documents patient history and reviews findings with appropriate interpreters (usually Radiologists).
- Responsible for maintaining effective communication skills.
- Participates in monitoring and maintaining resources in specific department.
- Understands and contributes to the vision, mission, and goals of the department.
- Assists physicians during biopsies and other interventional procedures.
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) is preferred.
