  • Minimum of 3+ years leading and/or managing engineering teams
  • Ideally, staff-level engineering & architecture experience, especially with our stack (Node, Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, GCP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Built complex interaction-heavy products and features
Responsibilities
  • Make key product decisions in collaboration with CEO (Head of Product) to make forward-looking technical decisions based on current business needs
  • Have the ability to see the forest from the trees - balance pragmatic business needs with technical tradeoffs
  • Partner with our CEO, PM and Designer to define key upcoming projects for execution
  • Jump into the code (challenging problems) across the team to ensure support on complex scenarios and high-quality output
  • Own engineering roadmap and execution
  • Create a strong engineering culture and practice
  • Put great engineering processes and tooling in place (e.g. code reviews, testing, deployment process, development environments, etc.)
  • Work closely with the product team to understand product priorities and roadmap
  • Build a performance management framework for a high-performance team, driving personal growth & business goals forward
