POSITION SUMMARY

Our team is looking to add an ambitious Vision Analytics Software Engineer who works well in an extremely innovative and fast-paced environment. If you are capable of translating complex problems into actionable insights, then please continue reading.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The successful candidate will join a team of UK (London) based software developers and contribute to the development and evaluate the performance of a video analytic system.  Both imagery and video data are acquired which object detection and recognition intelligent analysis (statistical machine learning) is performed.  In particular, the work will involve software development of the application pipeline as well as testing, and evaluating computer vision deep learning algorithms for Person and Object Re Identification.  Relevant experience with the state of the arts computer vision algorithm comparative evaluation and testing is a strong advantage.

The Video Analytics Software Engineer is expected to:

• Work within a multi-disciplinary software development team, although also able to work independently, and take ownership of software development tasks from specification to completion.
• Complete developer level unit and integration testing of developed features to verify functionality and operation within limits.
• Investigate and solve problems discovered by evaluation testing, product support and by customers and contribute to a resolution plan for each issue.
• Provide technical input into user documentation and produce development process related technical documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

Minimum qualifications:

• Degree in computer science & engineering.
• Algorithm optimization and adaptation
• Strong programming skills - C++ (11/14), Python (3.x)
• Good knowledge of working in Linux environments (Ubunto distro)
• Knowledge of Git-based code and CI/CD tools like bitbucket/githubBit)
• Experience of at least one relational database, such as PostgreSQL
• Motivated to drive tasks to completion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment

• Good Understanding of Computer Vision and Machine Learning
• Programming/script languages:
  • Go, bash script
• Libraries & frameworks:
  • Tensorflow, PyTorch, Boost, CUDA, TensorRT, Protbuf, AMQP
• Experience in ElasticSearch Data Base
• Experience with LXC and/or Docker containers
• Familiarity with Atlassian SW Dev Tools and agile development practices
  • Jira for Agile SW feature tracking & reports
  • Confluence for Documentation control
  • Bamboo for automated SW Testing
• Development of scalable applications
